The Author Dagmar Coward Kuschke was born in Berlin during the Second World War and attended both Münich and Tübingen Universities. She taught German at the Goethe Institut in Paris and lived in Belgium before settling in England where she became a full-time writer (Nessie and other stories, 1984) thus breaking in a word ‘the tight links which bind the artistic handling of a given tongue to the exclusive possession of an intellectual nationality’.
